WordPress 3.0 is a CMS and no longer just a blogging platform as many think. WordPress is easier for both the developer and the user to manage/ learn. Most of the plugins are free and the commercial ones including themes are wonderful.
Joomla was my choice from 2003 to 2009. Today, Joomla has a problem. It’s plugins and extensions are increasingly commercial. Even simple things like SEF urls is commercial. It’s roadmap and plugin development are not in step for a while now. And its’s backend is way more complicated for clients than WordPress. Many of our clients are now shifting from Joomla to WordPress.
Drupal is a very powerful CMS. But it has a long learning curve, it can be intimidating to the uninitiated. It’s great for communities, news, magazine and large websites.Share
