OnePlus 6 VS Asus Zenfone 5z

OnePlus 6 VS Asus Zenfone 5z. Both the comes in the same territory of offardable flagship, so oneplus got a another competitor which is always good.

Both of them offer robust performance, decent cameras, great viewing experience (courtesy of the superb displays) and a day’s power even under heavy usage.

Build:

Both the smartphones have adorned modern glass-metal build, featuring Gorilla Glass protection on both ends. Both of them feature a 6.2-inch display with a notch on their forehead. However, the Zenfone 5z has a better and more compact form factor in comparison to the OnePlus 6, which is a tad wider. Therefore, it’s easier to carry around the Zenfone 5z in the real world, owing to its slimmer shape and thus a better grip.

On the other hand, the OnePlus gains a slightly better edge in the aesthetics department. The OP6 comes is definitely elegant-looking, which sports a subtly curved rear panel. The design surely commands attention, despite sporting a large narrow-bezel notched display.

Display :

Oneplus comes with amoled screen where as asus comes with LCD panel

The amoled screen has deep black and sharper images, the LCD provides good brightness, but power consumption wise amoled is winner.

Processor: Both offer the flagship 845soc, in which asus has pushed its limits using AI technology.

Software:

This is area in which oneplus takes the lead providing near stock experience with oxygen os. On the other hand asus gives decent ui filled with bloatware and in terms of update asus is not well known and oneplus provides faster update through google project tribble.

Camera:

This is where things get interesting — both sport dual rear cameras. The OnePlus 6 has a 16MP+20MP sensor duo with a common f/1.7 aperture, while the Zenfone 5z flaunts a 12MP+8MP dual camera setup. The secondary camera on the OP aims for better low-light performance, while the rival uses it for wide-angle shots.

The oneplus photos are over all pleasing to eyes rather than overexposed photos of Asus with its AI integration.

Battery :

Both come with similar capacity but due to light oxygen os you might get slightly high battery life in oneplus. And the integration of dash charging makes the asus quick charge to leave the field.

Conclusion :

You wont go wrong if you choose either of this phones, but my personal preference would be oneplus because of its renowed brand of producing the flagships.
